On March 25th, Community Futures Thompson Country launched two new services to assist businesses in Kamloops, Clearwater, Barriere, Sun Peaks and Chase for those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Businesses can now access the COVID-19 Loan program and COVID-19 Business Support Program by contacting CFTC.

COVID-19 Loan program

A new COVID-19 loan program will provide businesses up to $20,000 based on their assessed needs and impact requirements. These loans feature a streamlined application and approval processes, no administration fees, low-interest rates, and interest-only options for the first three months. Information about the loan requirements and application can be found on the CFTC website, www.communityfutures.net or you can contact CFTC by phone at 250-828-8772.

COVID-19 Business Support Program

The business community is facing an incredible amount of stress and confusion trying to access provincial and federal relief funding. To combat this, Community Futures will be providing one-on-one virtual and telephone support through the new COVID-19 Business Support Program. This program will help businesses complete the required application for government relief funding. Community Futures Thompson Country office is closed to the public as per the direction of the CDC, however you can still reach all CFTC services and staff through phone or email. Contact hours are 8 AM – 4 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding statutory holidays.
