Happy New Year from the KCBIA and the CAP Team! Now that we are back into the swing of things, its time for some events that you can enjoy this week Downtown! We have a wide variety of activities going on downtown, not just winter themed, to get you out of the house. So, dig out those dancing shoes and grab that big foam “1” hand and head out to some events near you:
The first event is sure to cure your Monday blues. The Commodore Grand Cafe & Lounge proudly presents the original and biggest open mic night every Monday. You might hear, or become, Canada’s next biggest star so head on down at 9:30 p.m. to sign up!
Another recurring event is on the second Thursday of every month. Kamloops Pride hosts Beers for Queers! On January 10th, join Kamloops Pride at the Noble Pig Brewhouse for some food, brews and good company!
On the same night, January 10th, come down to the Blue Grotto for the Small Town Artillery, Year of the Wolf & Mother Son. This amazing set list will ensure you have an unforgettable night! The Doors open at 7:30PM and the music begins at 8! This event is sponsored by Red Collar Brewing CO.
The last event will feature some of the best local stick slapping when the Kamloops Storm faces off with the Chase Heat at Memorial Arena on January 13th. The puck drops at 5PM and we hope to see you there!
Well, friends if you need a nap after all that we don’t blame you, and it’s only the second week of January! If more events are what you crave than remember to head to downtownkamloops.com for all the latest buzz downtown! We can’t wait to see what this year brings!
