The most highly anticipated week of the year in Downtown Kamloops is almost here – The Downtown Merchants Market July 26th to 29th (Wednesday thru Saturday). The event features 4 days of super sidewalk sales, live music and entertainment.

Experience delicious offerings from a variety of eateries with the famous Taste of Downtown, Thursday from 11am-5pm. WEDNESDAY is the first day to come down and experience the spectacular sidewalk sales that only come around once a year! THURSDAY features the oh so popular Taste of Downtown  from 11am-5pm. “Thursday’s Taste of Downtown is one of Downtown Kamloops’ truly most sought after events,” explains Downtown Kamloops General Manager Gay Pooler. A variety of downtown restaurants put on their thinking caps and serve up delectable samples. During the event tasters can purchase a passport from the CAP Team Visitor Info Kiosk at the corner of 3rd Ave and Victoria Street and use it as a guide for which restaurants they would like to try. We are using a token system again – for every passport purchase of $15, you receive 8 tokens (additional token can be purchased for $2). The net proceeds from this event are split  between the Kamloops Food Bank fund and Artisans Alive music program. Taste of Downtown passports can be purchased ahead of time at the Customer Care & Info Centre at 340 Victoria Street.
